❚❚❚❚❚ MONTH ONE
MAY - AUGUST 2014
MAY - AUGUST 2014
DAY 06 [ MAY 24 - 26 ]
A THIRD PARTY BREACH HAS BEEN DETECTED...
NOT A SIMULATION ▹ (TDM) Convinced he actually broke the space-time continuum with the Unicorn, Banagher finds himself on an unfamiliar planet, in the middle of a dragon-mountain firestorm. He encounters CDC recruits Sephiroth (weird and mean), Rin Okumura (shounen brethren), and Kotetsu T. Kaburagi (good people). Even Mineva Lao Zabi, light of his life, makes an appearance. He attempts to save a nest full of strange stone eggs from the same fate as the city on fire around them, but only succeeds in protecting one.
DAY 7 - 13 [ MAY 27 - JUNE 17 ]
IN TRANSIT...
ERROR ▹ Please stand by.
DAY 14 [ JUNE 18 - 20 ]
WINTER WONDERLAND
THE DROP ▹ Banagher arrives as a newly minted CDC recruit via shuttle drop, right in the middle of an ongoing avalanche. Again, he is saved by Sephiroth, and they have a vaguely navel-gazey conversation on their way towards the jeeps. In exchange for saving (and sparing) his life twice, Sephiroth exacts a debt of information on him, to be carried out later. Also, bro wants his Haro.
JOURNEY ▹ Ferried by way of Kotetsu T. Kaburagi's jeep, they have a conversation about people, snow, and heroes. He also converses with Sandrilene Fa Toren and plays charades with Hanbei Takenaka in an attempt to explain that he's never actually been planetside before.
DAY 15 [ JUNE 21 - 23 ]
ROVER 033 | NATHAN MCNEILL, SARAH MANNING, MASAOKA TOMOMI, BANAGHER LINKS
ARRIVAL ▹ After making it to the rendezvous point, Banagher quickly attempts to squiggle out of the mandatory Blue medical assessment, only to be stopped by both Hope Estheim and Jean Kirstein. After being treated, supplied, and informed, he approaches Miss Peggy Carter to ask about a space princess. He tried.
MINGLING ▹ Armed with as much as the CDC will give him, he makes his way around camp to get a feel for his fellow recruits. He winds up gawking at Optimus Prime, finding Obi-Wan Kenobi strangely familiar, and allowing Masaoka Tomomi claim his first hair ruffle. Somehow, he ended up contemplating Orange instructor Warriorhead's hands. Why or how, I don't know. Neither does he. Warriorhead might not even know.
ROOMIE AU ▹ Having his fill of socializing, Banagher takes to tinkering around with his designated Rover, 033. There, he meets one of his rovermates, Sarah Manning.
ROOMIE AU REDUX ▹ Sometime later that day, Banagher encounters Nathan McNeill outside of their rover. He gets extremely troubling vibes from him, but does his best to get to know his rovermate.
CHECK-IN ▹ Dagger asks for a check-in via network. That goes well.
DAY 16 [ JUNE 24 - 26 ]
CASH MONIES ▹ Neheda Shopping Channel goes live. That money (or credit) isn't going to spend itself.
FAIR TRADE ▹ Over the network, Banagher talks to Jean Kirstein again about what deaths and sacrifices for chances means to him. In reaction to Jean's attempt to prevent more deaths in light of the recent lockdown incident. Dumb teenage boys talking about not so dumb things when lives are in the mix.
DAY 17 [ JUNE 27 - 29 ]
SUPPLY DROP 3 ▹ Blue Team is in charge of distribution.
DAY 18 [ JUNE 30 - JULY 2 ]
BREATHE IN BREATHE OUT
DOWNTIME ▹ Mysterious crates are opened. Everything smells like mandarins, coffee, and desperation.
DAY 19 [ JULY 3 - 5 ]
SHE SAID I'M COMING FOR YOU
HOUR 10:00 ▹ Banagher responds to Ghost's message about the briefing for Blue Team's upcoming mission.
HOUR 13:00 ▹ While taking a perimeter walk around camp to clear his head before the brief, Banagher runs into rovermate Masaoka Tomomi in the snow, waiting for someone to take him up on his offer of a drink. Banagher declines, but keeps him company during both of their waits anyway. They talk about what it means to be a sword and shield for someone. (And he's possibly trying to set him up??? dad no)
HOUR 15:00 ▹ Outside of Rover 000, Banagher and the rest of Blue Team are left to their own devices in coming up with plan to communicate their delicate operation without the use of CDC's network. He comes up with an idea to use deadlines and flares with help from Mikael Graccio and Jean Kirstein. He also meets Nill and attempts to let her know he can help her communicate thanks to his abilities as a Newtype.
A DEMAND ▹ That night, Gliese addresses the crew about the eggs recovered from the fiery planet where Banagher first got a taste of the CDC's capabilities. And its perils. After having his question about that breach shot down, he confirms that he still has one of the eggs he saved from the burning city.
DAY 20 [ JULY 6 - 8 ]
BIG BAD WOLF
HOUR 08:00 ▹ Blue Team sets out for Sector Z by ATKJP, to be monitored by Ghost, Flux, and Hornet. Their ETA is roughly 18:00, giving them 60 hours, a little less than a full Ajna day, to complete their mission.
HI-HO, HI-HO ▹ Group 5 sets out through Sector Z towards their marker point, which lies within a forest. Sturmhond acts as their leader, with Anders and Seth Gecko as the combatants, Serenity as their guide, Stiles Stilinski and Topher Brink as their techies, Nill as their squishy, and Banagher himself as timekeeper.
OFF TO WORK WE GO ▹They make it to their marker point with little incident, but setting up the transceiver hits several snags. Stiles tries to sabotage the group by pocketing vital pieces of the transceiver. Topher discovers this, and alerts Sturmhond, who confronts Stiles about it. After it's revealed that Stiles is the saboteur, Banagher has to step into the altercation between them to remind them of what their mission is. After finishing the calibration, their countdown to activation is interrupted by a mistwolf attack. They seize Topher, making Sturmhond and Stiles work together to rescue him. Seth stays behind to guard Banagher and the transceiver to make sure they don't miss the deadline, though they still haven't received the all clear from Group 2. At the last moment, Banagher sees a light burst from the sky (thanks to Alina Starkov) and senses that it's the last signal they need to activate successfully. He presses the Big Blue Button on time.
DAY 21 [ JULY 9 - 11 ]
A UNICORN AND A DRAGON WALK INTO A BAR
HOUR 06:00 ▹ Blue Team, after accomplishing their mission, is called back to camp. With several of their party injured or otherwise having fought, Banagher offers to drive the ATKJP back so they can recuperate.
STAR BRIGHT ▹ Given a while to rest up after arriving back at camp, Sephiroth makes good on his promise and summons Banagher to Rover 014. He asks again why he is alive — what it is that makes him worthy of being conscripted by the CDC. Able to give a sufficient answer, Banagher sticks around to speak with him about stars, space, and their respective idea of miracles. Haro and Hellroomba make friends. "Friends."
DAY 22 [ JULY 12 - 14 ]
HOUR 11:00 ▹ Seeing Obi-Wan Kenobi's network post about sparring lessons with a very different kind of weapon, Banagher expresses his curiosity about it. That seems awfully familiar.
HOMEWARD ▹ Banagher misses the Earth he'd only ever been to once, but always looked at from afar. He contacts Mothership directly to speak to her about it, not knowing where else to turn.
DAY 23 [ JULY 15 - 17 ]
HELLO, PILOT
ZOOM ZOOM ▹ This is the day Blue Team rewards for their work on the transceivers go live. Banagher contacts both Ghost and Sturmhond about the four brand new E.T. shuttles parked on the camp perimeter that he now has access to. One to thank, the other to nerd with.
DAY 24-25 [ JULY 18 - 23 ]
IT TAKES TWO
STAY FROSTY ▹ Blue downtime. Muffled Green-Orange mission playing in the distance.
DAY 26 [ JULY 24 - 26 ]
ITP: LEGIT DISCOVERY CHANNEL DOCUMENTARY
CAW, CAW ▹ Following the Green-Orange Noah's Ark mission, Blue gets to play shepard on their return. Hornet tasks the team with petsitting until the CDC Acquisitions Department can come claim the captured Ajna fauna. Banagher is about as pleased as you'd expect. He receives a small Kelsi to look after. It has a Napoleon Complex. After meeting his mission objective, he encounters Shinji Ikari and Jack Spicer. His murderbird attacks the former, and he helps the latter with his own. Back at his rover where Haro has been commandeered and he's been ousted, Fiona Gallagher and Ino Yamanaka drop by to inquire why it sounds like there's a squawky tornado inside. Later, Banagher stumbles upon Sturmhond, who's been dealing with his own Kelsi.
Ⓦⓞⓡⓓⓢ ▹ Banagher utilizes his fluency in teenage girl and Haro to "talk" to Scavenger about communicating without words. It is marginally successful.
DAY 27-29 [ JULY 27 - AUGUST 04 ]
ARRRRE YOU RRRREADY TO RRRRRRRRUMBLE
HOUR 10:00 ▹ Ghost puts out a call for volunteers to travel to Sector R. Space Hero predictably volunteers and is cleared by Mothership for the briefing at 11:00 outside of Rover 581.
HOUR 11:00 ▹ Suddenly, this looks a lot less fun. The accepted volunteers go on a mission to assemble the Central Targeting Data Server. Recruits are divided into three teams: Scouting, Defense, and Ratchet crews. Scouting's task is to find an optimal location in the mountainous region to set up shop. Ratchets are to build the CTDS, and the Defense must protect them on the way up and while they do so. Banagher is slotted into the Ratchet crew, and his defenders are Steve Rogers, Optimus Prime, and Rapunzel.
WHAT SEATBELTS ▹ Thanks to his previous mission reward, Banagher pilots some of the crew up in one of the ETs. Among them are Kotetsu T. Kaburagi, Armin Arlert, and Eren Jaeger, all of whom are hella cuties about the trip. So much that Banagher promises to take them flying again on their downtime.
FUZZIES R' US ▹ On the way up to the location, Defense and Ratchets are dogged by both mistwolves and hulking, multi-legged creatures known as aerous. When things escalate, the teams are able to collaborate to take them all down. Seriously though there's a metric fuckton of people in this one. Read it, it's cool.
STEP ON A LEGO ▹ Once at their location, the five Ratchets, Barnaby Brooks Jr., Alina Starkov, Armin Arlert, Obi-Wan Kenobi, and Banagher himself get to work on the CTDS. Which is in 2000 different pieces that all look identical, and have to be assembled in the right sequence. They get along decently, until Armin and Obi-Wan discover that when the right combos are made, the pieces light up and play music. (This is where the Ratchets start hating life.) They recruit some of the Defense to help pry apart the pieces, because seriously, prying apart legos. Steve Rogers and Hope Estheim help Banagher out.
LET'S REEVALUATE ▹ At some point during the night where Banagher is simultaneously tired of looking at legos but too stubborn to sleep, he goes on the second guard-shift with Peggy Carter and Kotetsu T. Kaburagi. Later, he listens to Alina Starkov's stories. Later still, taking up a quiet spot by the fire, he's scolded by Optimus Prime for not resting, and again finds Obi-Wan Kenobi a strikingly familiar presence.
THE MATRIX HAS YOU ▹ After two Ajna days and blood, sweat, and tears, the Ratchet crew finally manages to assemble the CTDS. Being prompted to "Press the button", Banagher is the lucky first contender to figure out that they have one last puzzle to solve. And fifteen seconds to do so. As soon as the puzzles start, chimera converge on the parties. Defense rallies to protect the Ratchets while they finish their puzzles. With the help of Steve Rogers, Optimus Prime and Rapunzel, Banagher finishes his puzzle, and narrowly helps Armin Arlert to start his own after he's seized by a chimera and subsequently protected by Eren Jaeger.
DAY 29 ▹ The mission closes with more blood, sweat, and tears. (Notice a theme?) It was a success after an hour of chimera attacks while Ghost set up the server, but the recruits sustained injuries and a definite need to look at their lives and choices. Back at camp, the Ratchet crew has a nerd party.
DAY 30 [ AUGUST 05-07 ]
CHILL PILL ▹ Following Sector R, there's a bit of downtime for the recruits to mingle about. Unfortunately, Banagher spends the morning hungover. Rovermate Sarah Manning comes to poke at him, and Ivan Karelin helpfully convinces him to get to medical for some painkillers and water. Later in the day, he's approached by Kaname Chidori to talk weapons and squishy statuses. Master Chief also stops him to ask about Haro. He approaches Shinji Ikari again when he recognizes the figure he's scratching into the snow.
LOUSY T-SHIRT ▹ Rewards for Sector R go live. For the collaboration to take down the mistwolves and aerous, the team receives alcohol, cotton candy, 50 credits a piece, and a t-shirt. In alien writing, the t-shirt reads: "I risked my life for the CDC and all I got was this lousy t-shirt." Banagher's is blue. Optimus Prime receives a butt decal, and he is not happy about it.
FROM ABOVE ▹ Banagher takes time out to talk apathy with Garret.
SUIT UP ▹ Dagger puts out the call for volunteers. This time, it's "Hero Crap". In the suggested reading? Robots. Giant robots. Guess who doesn't need to hear that twice.
HUSH, HUSH ▹ Late in the day, Banagher is contacted by Mothership for another mission. Wuh-oh.
DAY 30.5 [ AUGUST 08-10 ]
CRASHTEC OPSYS IS NOW ONLINE (OR THAT NEW CAR SMELL)
HOUR 47:00 - 70:59 ▹ "Hero Crap" is revealed. Non-reds who volunteered for Dagger's mission board the NEHEDA crewship, where they deploy down to planet Lusania in the Crashtec mobile suits to defend its natives from an invasion. Also in the mix? Newbies! This is the TDM, folks. Eager to pilot again, Banagher encounters Shinji Ikari before the launch, Mineva Lao Zabi, Six, and Seki Ray Shiroe on the ground, and Rapunzel, Kotetsu T. Kaburagi, Kaworu Nagisa, Sayaka Miki, and Lloyd Asplund back on the ship.
SANDY CLAWS ▹ For volunteering, he's included in Murder Christmas.
DAY 31-33 [ AUGUST 11-17 ]
SECTOR R PT. II: HARDBALL MODE
LUCKY SEVEN ▹ That's the number Mothership and Ghost settle on for the trip back to Sector R. Banagher's one of them. With Mothership as their pilot, they (Sturmhond, Alina Starkov, Kotetsu T. Kaburagi, Barnaby Brooks Jr., Adrien Arbuckal, Rapunzel, and himself) set out for the sector. Flight happens, everyone is suitably kawaii (again).
HIGHWAY TO HELL ▹ Once on the ground, they've given customizable hover bikes and told they need to stalk the Stalker, otherwise known as Dagger's Mom. Using Banagher's senses and Alina's light, they're able to hunt it down after some trial and error, following it to the mouth of a cave.
COMMERCIAL BREAK ▹ Once they make it down into the cave, they're given nice (not discount!) tents and actual food that isn't Probably Kentucky-Fried People Parts. Banagher watches the light show Alina provides, and never shuts up while talking to Rapunzel about things from back home.
WE DIDN'T START THE FIRE... ▹ After they're given time to rest up, the group advances further into the cave. Using the rope made from Rapunzel's hair, Sturmhond guides them down into the pitch black cavern. Once they reach the bottom, they come upon an eerie blue lake. With no bridge. So they get naked and swim for it. Once across, they find a passageway full of crystals. Kotetsu teases Alina about her staring at Sturmhond's booty, making her shove him and trigger a boobytrap. Rapunzel takes one for the team and sticks his hand in the line of fire, discovering that the crystals are now emitting a light that'll freeze anything on contact.
OOPS ▹ By navigating the death crystals, the group finally reaches their destination. A cavern that's home to three distinctly technological towers. Ghost gets to work dismantling them and Mothership stands by, leaving the recruits to wonder about the content of their mission. (Better late than never.) A while into his task, the group is met with another roadblock — the minotaur. Employing the wealth of actual bombs they have, and the rings given to a few of the team by Ghost previously, they manage to hold the creature back long enough to feed it a string of grenades. Tiger & Bunny go Good Luck Mode and seal the deal.
BUT WAIT, THERE'S MORE ▹ While they buy enough time for Ghost to finish his task, they're immediately attacked by Scourges. Ghost and Mother give the evacuation order. Banagher is the first up, and finally makes use of the plasma firearm he was given to help cover the rest of the team's escape.
START YOUR ENGINES ▹ The Scourges don't lessen their attack even as the recruits make it topside. A high-speed bike chase ensues. Green team instructor Armada shows up to help take on the Scourges as the group escapes. All of them manage to make it back to the shuttle, instructors included, though not without serious injuries. Mother sticks the recruits with elixirs to heal them up, and they are issued a gag order for the mission.
DAY 34 [ AUGUST 18-20 ]
HOUR 10:00 ▹ After sleeping nearly a full day following his return from Sector R 2.0, Banagher wakes to his rovermate, Sarah Manning, contemplating her Murder Christmas gifts from Dagger.
DAY 35 [ AUGUST 21-23 ]
ZZZ ▹ Downtime while Red Team has a gross buggy mission.
DAY 36 [ AUGUST 26-28 ]
WALK AMONG US, NEVER JUDGE US
BUFFET LINE ▹ Gliese contacts Blue Team to give them the great news that there won't be a supply drop. The team proceeds to put a plan into motion to go hunting. Banagher offers his help to Peggy Carter once she and Sturmhond put out the call.
CARFAX ▹ At some point during the day, the instructors come into possession of four of the Crashtec mobile suits. All of the units have sustained heavy damage. Banagher is one of the first to want to get a better look, encountering Hanbei Takenaka, Barnaby Brooks Jr., and Noh-Varr while he does so. Throughout the day he also talks to Kaname Chidori about the similarities between their penchant for mechanics, Ivan Karelin about their respective homes, and Sturmhond about humans versus machines.
HOUR 24:00 ▹ While on his way to retrieve his plugsuit to add to the number of people who can pilot, Banagher finds Optimus Prime injured by the bonfire after a mission to take downJim Daddy Frostbrood.
DAY 37 [ AUGUST 29-31 ]
TXT IT ▹ Dagger announces that newbie inboxes are live while they're on clean-up duty back on Lusania. Banagher says hi to Deadpool, Seki Ray Shiroe, and gets an earful from Seth Gecko.
DAY 38 [ SEPTEMBER 01-03 ]
HOUR 12:30 ▹ Hunting trip happens. Banagher is again on pilot duty, with some infrequent fliers and a dare to sit on. One day, he'll have a barrel roll challenge. One day.
HUNTER VS HUNTED ▹ Once on the ground, space hero proves what a failure he is at killing things when he's hunted by a furlix. Impressive. Sturmhond shows up with the express purpose of sassing him about it.
0 VISIBILITY ▹ Unfortunately, Ajna's weather rears its ugly head before the team can make it back to camp. Banagher and the other pilots make a decent shelter out of the shuttles, and he stops to help Anders keep their fire going, despite the latter's magical assistance doing more than enough.
DAY 39-40 [ SEPTEMBER 04-08 ]
YOU'RE HALF A WORLD AWAY
SHITSTORM ▹ On Day 39, the camp is beset by the lovely Shai and all their equally lovely body fluids. The reason is that the CDC's primary mode of transportation, the Bridge, has opened right in the middle of their colony, come Day 40! Why? Because...
DAY 41 [ SEPTEMBER 09-11 ]
GET READY FOR THE ▹ Drop! New recruits drop in via the Bridge, right into the heart of the Shai colony. Also on the menu is Blue Team Supply Drop, while the other teams fight off the Shai and try to get the newbies to safety. This time, Banagher is on the ground in an ATKJP, collaborating with Sturmhond. His fellow teammate loans him his bahari berserker, Korol, while he's on the ground. As the mission wears on and he drives around like this is one of his Japanese animes, he meets up with Rapunzel, Ichigo Kurosaki, and Connie Springer. Seki Ray Shiroe is someone he always sees in the nick of time. Weird. Closer to endgame, he finds Re-L Mayer in a veritable rock storm, and offers her a ride back. And finally, back at camp, he taps into his inner Helpy Helperton to try and drag an injured Nicholas Brown to Medical. He doesn't get very far.
DAY 42 [ SEPTEMBER 12-14 ]
ROVER 009: BANAGHER LINKS, ALINA STARKOV, CLARY FRAY, D'ARTAGNAN
RED ROVER RED ROVER ▹ With the rover shuffle going live the day before, Banagher takes some time out from the supply-sorting and camp clean-up to chat with new rovermate Clary Fray and old friend Alina Starkov.
LUCKY SEVEN REDUX ▹ Following a message from Sturmhond, Banagher meets up with him and the rest of the Sector R 2.0 team outside of medical at his request. The gig? Awful cave spelunking, because they just can't get enough of the caves. In the process, they find another piece of rock that seems to be in sequence with a few others discovered previously. Their trip is topped off with a visit from Dagger's Mom, who is leagues more aggressive and out for blood. Sensing that it's suffered a terrible loss that drives her to want to kill them, Banagher tries to get the rest of the team to refrain from killing her. That doesn't pan out well.
THROUGH THE STOMACH ▹ Back at camp after they've dealt with Dagger's Mom, Banagher isn't taking it so well. Outside his rover, he's showed some much-needed kindness from one of his new rovermates, d'Artagnan.
DAY 43 [ SEPTEMBER 15-17 ]
LIKE FOOTSTEPS IN THE SNOW
HOUR 12:00 ▹ Downtime. Mothership's Skeleton Crew shows up, and shortly after them, boxes of formal wear arrive at the recruits' rovers for Trashy BBQ Space Prom the next day. Luckily, his suit isn't so bad.
TOUGH STUFF ▹ That morning, Banagher receives a message from Arien Arbuckal about his role in the fiasco with Dagger's Mom. Banagher divulges about her emotions that he sensed, giving a new dimension to the fact that they're actually destroying a planet with life capable of that.
DAY 44 [ SEPTEMBER 18-20 ]
HOUR 10:00 ▹ Before Space Prom comes around, Sturmhond announces his paintball match, to which Banagher says he definitely wants in. He's paired with Thane Krios. After sorting him, Sturmhond pauses to ask about his wellbeing after the encounter with Dagger's Mom.
WALLFLOWERS GALORE ▹ Later in the evening, Banagher makes it to Space Prom. He chats with Kaname Chidori again, is bullied out of being a wallflower by Barnaby Brooks Jr., and takes several people, Kotetsu T. Kaburagi and Shinji Ikari chief among them, on one of the ET shuttles to see the lights go up over Sector Z. He also meets a tipsy Rapunzel for a dance.
DAY 45 [ SEPTEMBER 21-23 ]
UNDER THE SEA ▹ Downtime while the sweet sounds of Saw & The Little Mermaid permeate camp.
DAY 46-47 [ SEPTEMBER 24-29 ]
THAT'S FINAL ▹ Blue Team has its final Ajna mission announced. Pick the name of a person you trust and report it to Mothership. Little do they know that she and Gliese have devised something a little more integral to leadership than picking a name. They must pick a name and convince their most trusted person to either allow themselves to be killed, or kill who named them. Ouch.
IN THE BUD ▹ Initially, Banagher names Barnaby Brooks Jr. as the recruit he trusts the most. However, after the truth of the mission is revealed, he rescinds it. Banagher finds himself sitting on his choice as the deaths of his friends and comrades permeate the camp. He senses all of them.
BE WITH YOU ▹ In spite of what's happened, Banagher is happy to hear from Obi-Wan Kenobi, a fellow Blue. Obi-Wan offers him a book he cannot read, and Banagher invites him to his rover to receive it. From there, Banagher starts to understand the true meaning behind the Jedi's offer, but still won't turn him away. Vague space psychics being vague.
DAY 48 [ SEPTEMBER 30 - OCTOBER 02 ]
YOU'RE HALF A WORLD AWAY
DECISIONS, DECISIONS ▹ Following the hollow kind of resolve his meeting the day before left him with, Banagher makes his decision. He contacts Adrien Arbuckal, and asks him to take his life for the mission. He asks only to be able to see another sunrise, and that he remember Mineva Zabi's importance to him.
DAY 49 [ OCTOBER 03-05 ]
IF I COULD SHOW YOU MY BACK
HOUR 08:00 ▹ Banagher meets Adrien just outside of the Medtent to complete his mission. He brings only his bodybag, colored tape, and dog-tags. His fellow recruit and one of his most trusted people does what he couldn't, and takes his life with one gunshot to the back of his head. When Banagher dies, he releases a mass amount of thought waves that nearly manifest as kinetic, and almost cripples Adrien despite his psychic shielding. Adrien still brings his body back to Mothership, though later requests it to give him his proper rites.
DAY 50 [ OCTOBER 06-08 ]
UPS AND DOWNS ▹ Luckily, Banagher doesn't have to suffer death for very long. On Day 50, Mothership begins bringing the recruits back to life. Straight out of Medical, he receives the text message from her, giving him his grade of 3 out of 5 for hesitating and changing the name. The fun doesn't end there, when he's promptly (and angrily) confronted by Kaname Chidori for his life choices. Lots of gross teenager feelings happen.
LIKE GHOSTS ▹ After holing up in his rover because of the voices that have started up in his head, an "aftermath" of sorts to his mission, Banagher is contacted by both Adrien Arbuckal and Barnaby Brooks Jr. The former of which is predictably vague about emotions, and the latter of which is very much less so. That both of them saw fit to check up on him meant the world.
HOUR 50:00 ▹ Because this ride is nothing less than a breakneck rollercoaster, Ghost makes an announcement on the network regarding temporary promotions for Ajna's endgame. Banagher is named one of them, and is suitably surprised, but glad for the focus. He congratulates fellow leaders Kaname Chidori and Sturmhond.
TEXTING IS MY CARDIO ▹ As if to make up for lost time, Barnaby Brooks Jr. is quick to get a jump on a potential asset in the first mission: the damaged CRASHTEC mobile suits. They soon hatch a plan (with a little fussing on both parts) that has Banagher reaching out to Green Instructor Armada for help.
DAY 51 [ OCTOBER 09-11 ]
STEP ONE: ELIMINATE THE APEX PREDATORS
GREASEMONKEY ▹ After pulling an all-nighter alongside Barnaby Brooks Jr., Armada, and Ghost, they manage to get two CRASHTECs in working order for use on the joint Red + Green Team mission: eliminate the Shai. Banagher is given a role as one of the head techs for their equipment. A job he's he's all too happy to share with resident nerd child, Seki Ray Shiroe. He also undergoes his first vomit bath on Ajna, aww.
DAY 52 [ OCTOBER 12-14 ]
STEP TWO: HARVEST RESOURCES ROCK PUZZLES 2: ELECTRIC BOOGALOO
WHY US ▹ While Orange Team heads out on its endgame mission, the lucky Sector R 2.0 contestants - Sturmhond, Alina Starkov, Adrien Arbuckal, Kotetsu T Kaburagi, Barnaby Brooks Jr., and himself - pile into the Medtent to try and solve a puzzle that Gliese, Ghost, and Mothership left the pieceholders keys for. Just as they started glowing. Great. May contain PTSD re: puzzles.
DAY 53 [ OCTOBER 15-17 ]
STEP THREE: DISMANTLE AND PREPARE FOR TRANSPORT
CHARLIE FOUR ▹ For the joint Blue + Orange Team mission to dismantle the CDC's tech, Banagher is assigned to one of the teams responsible for taking apart the CTDS alongside Mogget and John Crichton. Before he gets to this task, he manages to chat with Lydia Shepard. During, with help from Pilot, he sees both Adrien Arbuckal and Alina Starkov, who manage to keep him going.
DAY 54 [ OCTOBER 18-20 ]
STEP FOUR: PACK IT UP AND SHIP IT
FLYBOYS ▹ Day 54 brings about the joint Blue + Green Team mission, in which everything not nailed to the floor must go. Alina Starkov first orders him and Sturmhond to pack up their toys, and they both obey, though neither is thrilled about this.
GALACTIC PARTY FOUL ▹ Later on, Banagher gets to his team, which is assigned to loading up the CRASHTECs. It's not a very elegant affair. With Peggy Carter leading the way, he and John Crichton use the two repaired units to haul along the two damaged ones, looking like they're bros dragging their drunk buddy back home. A colossal mishap almost happens if not for Noh-Varr's quick reflexes and super strength.
DAY 55 [ OCTOBER 21-23 ]
STEP FOUR: EVACUATE THE PLANET
HOUR 08:00 ▹ The big day. Alongside Kotetsu T. Kaburagi (Green), Kaname Chidori (Orange), Loki (Red), and Sturmhond (CO), Banagher and the other Evac Leaders prepare to get this show on the road by moving out the rovers. Kaname makes a charming post to start the process, which ends in a pretty sweet promise, all things considered. Rover tetris goes smoothly, even if Clary Fray might be convinced he's trying to kill them, though nothing ever stays simple for long in this organization.
HOUR 12:00 ▹ A few minutes after they get their first shuttle of recruits into the air, disaster strikes. The statue releases an EMP that causes the shuttle to crash and otherwise ground all their tech. The leaders redeploy their teams for a rescue and repair effort. After Sturmhond receives a bit of intel from Gale on what they can do to go live again, he leaves command of the field to Banagher while he goes on the rock puzzle sidequest. He makes sure to check in with his team, as often as he's able, especially those like Liara T'soni.
UP AND AWAY ▹ Following the effort to defuse the statue, Sturmhond contacts the now-functioning network to get them all moving again. Banagher responds, telling him to get his butt back to the RV point. For all of the good that it does them, when they're waiting on so many others.
DAY 56 [ OCTOBER 24-26 ]
STEP FIVE: BOOM. BIG BADDA BOOM.
LAST CALL ▹ The leaders manage to get themselves and the last batch of recruits off-planet just in time. They're caught up in some of the blast as they make it aboard the NEHEDA, but Banagher doesn't wait to figure out what effects that might have. On the observation deck, he watches Ajna go, meeting with Peggy Carter, Obi-Wan Kenobi, and Garrus Vakarian throughout the process.
THE BLUES ▹ Having witnessed the kaboom, Banagher is no more settled for the effort, even having managed to meet up with Barnaby Brooks Jr. and d'Artagnan along the way. He later attends the post-kaboom party to indulge in underage drinking like any good teenager, and meets his match with Kaname Chidori.
❚❚❚❚❚ MONTH TWO
AUGUST - OCTOBER 2014
AUGUST - OCTOBER 2014
HOUR 24:00 ▹ While on his way to retrieve his plugsuit to add to the number of people who can pilot, Banagher finds Optimus Prime injured by the bonfire after a mission to take down
DAY 37 [ AUGUST 29-31 ]
